Cookie statement

No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no profiling. Two cookies exist, both only on the pages that carry the contact form, and both only so that form works safely.

What is set, and only where

PHPSESSID
A session cookie set only on the homepage and the contact page. It holds the token that protects the form against cross-site request forgery, and the confirmation message shown after you send. It expires when you close your browser. On every other page of this site no cookie is set at all.
_GRECAPTCHA
Set by Google reCAPTCHA, again only on the pages with the form, to tell a person from a bot. Without it the form would be a spam target. It is set by Google, not by this site.

No tracking

There is no analytics package on this site: no Google Analytics, no Matomo, no advertising or social media pixels, no cross-site tracking and no visitor profiles. Nothing measures which pages you read or how long you stay.

Third parties your browser contacts

The design and the spam protection load from external services. Apart from reCAPTCHA above these set no cookies of their own, but your IP address does reach them, because your browser fetches the files directly:

  • Google reCAPTCHA (spam protection, contact form pages only)
  • Google Fonts (typefaces)
  • jsDelivr and Cloudflare (the stylesheet and script libraries)

Your control

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Because none of them are used for tracking, blocking them costs you nothing except the ability to send the contact form; email john@vanschaijk.eu instead. That you dismissed the notice at the foot of the page is remembered in your browser local storage, not in a cookie.
